Digital Signage for Mississauga and Brampton Condos

Lobby and elevator screens for Peel Region condominium corporations: what suits Mississauga and Brampton buildings, from city-centre towers to townhouse complexes.

Peel Region's condominiums range from high-rise towers around Mississauga's city centre and along major transit corridors to mid-rise buildings and large townhouse complexes in Brampton and across the region. Digital signage looks different in each.

High-rise towers

Mississauga's tower clusters have much in common with Toronto's: hundreds of suites, many rented units, busy elevator banks and parking levels. The highest-value locations are:

  • Ground floor and parking-level elevator landings
  • The main lobby near the concierge
  • The parcel room

See elevator landing screens.

Mid-rise buildings

Smaller buildings with one elevator bank often get the most value from just two or three screens: the lobby, the ground floor elevator landing and the mail area. Fewer screens keeps the project, and the approval process, simpler.

Townhouse and stacked-townhouse complexes

There are no elevator landings, but there are often:

  • A management office or clubhouse
  • Mailbox areas
  • Amenity buildings (pool, gym, party room)

A screen in the clubhouse or at the community mailboxes, sheltered and suitably rated for its environment, can replace a notice board that residents rarely visit.

Approvals

Peel condominium corporations (commonly numbered PCC or PSCC) follow section 97 of Ontario's Condominium Act for changes to the common elements, like everywhere else in the province. See owner approval for lobby screens.

Electrical

As anywhere in Ontario, electrical work for hire must be done by a licensed electrical contractor with an ESA notification. See licensed electrical contractor vs handyman.

Diverse communities

Peel is one of the most linguistically diverse regions in Canada. Screens make it easy to show key notices in more than one language when a building's residents would benefit, something that's impractical with printed notices.
