Digital Signage for York Region Condos: Vaughan, Markham and Richmond Hill

Lobby, elevator and amenity screens for condominium corporations in Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill and across York Region, from new towers to established mid-rises.

York Region has seen rapid condominium growth, from new towers around transit hubs in Vaughan and along major corridors in Markham and Richmond Hill to established mid-rise and townhouse communities. Many of these buildings are young, with boards still setting up how they communicate with residents.

Newer buildings: get it right early

Recently registered condominiums are often in their first few years of self-management after turnover from the developer. It's a natural time to decide how the building will communicate:

  • Are the developer-installed notice boards working?
  • Is the corporation's email list complete, including tenants?
  • Are residents still learning the rules?

Adding screens early sets good habits before problems become routine. See why condo notices get ignored.

Pre-wired locations

Some newer buildings include conduit, power or blocking at likely screen locations, or have a lobby display already roughed in. A site survey checks for this; it can reduce cost significantly.

High-value locations

Approvals

York Region condominium corporations (commonly numbered YRCC or YRSCC) follow section 97 of Ontario's Condominium Act for changes to the common elements. See owner approval for lobby screens.

Warranty considerations in new buildings

If the building is still within Tarion warranty periods for common elements, check with your manager before altering walls, so that any work doesn't complicate warranty claims for unrelated defects. A careful contractor will document existing conditions before starting.

Electrical

Electrical work for hire in Ontario must be done by a licensed electrical contractor with an ESA notification. See ESA notifications.
